South Florida, which opened the season with a win against then-top-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish, has been in a swoon, to say the least. You really don’t need to look further than this basic fact: The Bulls are 4-4 SU. That’s right, 4-4. So if you do the math, it tells you the Bulls won their first four games (pretty impressive) then proceeded to lose their next four (pretty unimpressive).

Last week, South Florida lost 20-17 against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, who are so far down the rankings, I don’t know where to find them. The Bulls failed to cover as a 2.5-point road favorite.

Football Betting stats have Syracuse 5-4 SU and 3-6 ATS. The Orange lost 28-21 against the Connecticut Huskies and failed to cover the 1.5-point spread as road underdogs.

Now, you may be thinking I am pointing to a Syracuse cover in this game. On the contrary. I think the Bulls bounce back and cover in this game. Why? Simply, the Bulls are the better team.

There’s also the fact South Florida is 5-1 SU and ATS in the past six meetings.
